The Active Assailant Interdisciplinary Work Group’s (AAIWG) mission is to maximize Maryland’s ability to prevent, respond and recover from active assailant incidents.

This is accomplished through a multidisciplinary and multijurisdictional workgroup that develops, coordinates and implements strategies with local, state, federal and private partners to achieve identified goals and objectives. Governor Hogan reconvened the group in February 2018 with Executive Order 01.01.2018.08.
